My cell phone pictures stink, but I wanted to post. I bought a Flame wrasse pair from saltyaquaria in August. You rock Adrian. They're doing great; feeling amourus apparently, darting and flashing, it's awesome. Centerpiece of my tank.

Are these the species you currently have, or ones which interest you?
Avoid the third one pictured; C. filamentosus. Does not mix well with other wrasses.

Elite Aquatics sells the popular acclimation boxes.

I do have most unless they have gone ahiding. My whip fin is a female. She is one of the more pleasant wrasses. The fine line is the biggest pain in my ***.

Is she the only fish in the tank? If so it could be that not seeing other fish has her thinking there is a predator around.

Question for the wrasse folks. A month ago I bought 5 female bipartitus leopards (blue star) and only 1 made it because it killed off the other 4. Literally killed them by ramming into their sides repeatedly and not just harassment. She was bigger than the other 4. They were all supposed to be small, but she was closer to medium if not medium.

Now I want to add small black leopards. Would you remove the "killer" blue star?

My ultimate goal is to have 3 BS and 3 Black's. I may be dreaming, but want to give it shot.

Thoughts on how you would handle it at this point? Thanks for any feedback!

Regards,
Mike

I'd would definitely get that"killer" tough wrasse out!!! Even if you don't add more you should still get rid of the killer...

Here's my new addition, P. attentatus. Sorry for the lousy cell pic but he's still a bit shy and way to active to get good focus on.

Thats kind of what I was thinking too. Any tips other than put a fish in QT with her?

I wodnt worry about it. As long as she is eating and healthy let her be. She should be more utgoing in the DT.
