Hey all you wrasse lovers. Here is what looks like a new species of Pseudojuloides wrasse.

Initially it looks similar to Pseudojuloides xanthomos and Pseudojuloides sp 1, but the markings are different than both of these species and when we add that P. xanthomos is a Mauritius endemic species and that P. sp 1 is found along the African coast and this new species was collected all the way down in Tahiti, there is no doubt that it is a new and unique member of the Genus Pseudojuloides.

Very cool! Who knows what will be found next.

I recently lost my chaoti wrasses after 3 years. Could not figure out why then I gave it some thought. I changed my feeding routin and took off my automatic feeder. I think I starved these guys to death I feel really bad. I did notice these guys hold their food in their mouth versus swallowing it right away so they do not get as much hint the multiple feeding per day was impoprtant. Lesson learn moral of the story wrasses with small mouths needs to eat several times per day.

I saw these in the Greenwich photo and the "hooked" marking on the face really threw me off. Glad to hear I wasn't forgetting a species. :)

Seems on the small side to keep a Scott's, especially with other Wrasses. Do you have another larger tank if it becomes overly aggressive? I do love the tank either way :)

Thank you. And yes I do as we speak I'm about to go talk to a company about the acrylic to build my wrasse kingdom 400-500g my son wants

Now that sounds awesome! I have 11 Wrasses in my 125... I can only imagine how many I would stock a 400-500 with!
