That's a great price you paid I have two now and will be adding two more one of my fav wrasse should be getting one of my all time fav in the morning can't wait I'm like a child waiting for Christmas morning. Going home now to see how my new flames are doing.

@evolved: bad news. Hemi died on day two at wholesaler... I hear that in addition to all of those that died similarly in e US & EU. Five were brought into HK and died within 48 hrs. Collection problems?

Though not # on this I don't think collection is necessarily the problem. Madagascar has a good reputation for their collecting techniques. It is more likely a combination of factors, such as depth collected, short turn around from collection to shipping, comparatively longer shipping time, and natural difficulty of care.

Also not # on this, but those species will be fine as long as by lanceolatus you mean cf. lanceolatus.

That would be great. I was worried it was a lot of wrasse for a small tank. :) I don't have any experience with these "dwarf-type" wrasses though. I have the Pintail in QT now, the chrysus is in the display already, and on the hunt for the other two.

All of those species are pretty peaceful, but still utilize a social acclimation box for introducing new fish.

Sorry to hear. It could be a collection issue, but I tend to agree with TJ on this. They're probably bringing them up a little too quickly and then doing a quick turn around on shipping a long distance, and those combined is enough to do them in.
I do know of one alive in the states at this point, but I may have a claim on that guy. :p

Agree; I keep those three Cirrhilabrus together.

Haha, yes the "cf." makes a big difference! I know you keep these three together, that's why I was asking. My concern was more the tank size than the species getting along. :)
