Joe it should be fine just use an acclimation box. AV had a few pintails in and I was tempted, but I'm wrasses out.... so I got butterflies instead...LOL

like to add a pintail with a pair of Johnson's. Does any one think they will fight?
Eh, mine squabble quite a bit. Not enough to really concern me, but it's far from a peaceful coexistence.

My johnsoni pair - in particular the big male, has harassed 2 pintails to death. I have to remove the big johnsoni before I am comfortable adding any more cf. lanceolatus. I'm slow to do it because he is so spectacular.

Well I just added my pintail and sure enough my Johnson's are not happy at all. My dominant male is after him and my not other non dominant is accepting him little by little. My pintail is still a juvenile so he seems like it's not bothering him much. Hopefully they will work it out

An Acclimation box is a great thing to use in these situations. Anytime there is a new solo addition the other wrasses are going to hassle the new fish.

Am I ok to prophylactically treat an incoming fairy wrasse with prazipro? I am seeing a lot of conflicting info out there so I thought I would ask the wrasse experts here. Thank you in advance for your replies.

Yes, and I would encourage you to do so. I always do.

Follow directions and don't overdose.

Yesterday I stopped by my LFS to get some turbos and an urchin. Started looking around at the fish and saw they got some wrasses. I was surprised because they got in two Pylei fairies, Cebu variant, and a Naoko. I inquired about the Naoko and it was only 60 bucks. Then I asked if they could feed it. It gobbled up mysis like crazy. I bought it on the spot.

Hey guys wondering if the multicolour lubbocks wrasse would get along with my naokos wrasse and possum wrasse?
The naokae will likely be aggressive, but depending on the size of the tank and use of an acclimation box may work.
