I'm looking at the Flasher and Fairy wrasses, trying to decide want I want. I know you all posted at one time what your favorite Flasher was, but I can't find it. Would ya'll tell me what your favorite is again?

My favorite flasher is P. attenuatus, favorite fairy is C. isoscoles.

I have one more question. Is the Paracheilinus octotaenia very aggressive with other wrasses (fairy and flasher)? Do they dispaly their colors much?...I guess that was 2 questions

Me too! C. lineatus is right there with the pintail though. Then there's my C. jordani....there's a pattern emerging here. Thre are so many great fairy and flasher wrasses!

I couldn't decide on _one_ favorite - I've got two flashers (P. lineopunctatus, low-pattern & high-filamentation, and P. angulatus, high-pattern & lunate caudal) and four fairies (C. isosceles, warm spectrum, C. solorensis and C. exquisitus in cooler colors, and C. aurantidorsalis, both warm and cool.) Caution - they're addictive!

I have C. exquisitus, C. lubbocki, and Macropharyngodon ornatus.
I haven't had a flasher before, but I really like my Lubbocks, he flashes alot, and I love his colors. I am getting a C rubrimarginatus and a
Paracheilinus octotaenia from LA this next week.

Thank you all for your replys!

What do your halichoeres wrasses look under blue lights? Do their colours still pop or do they blend into the tank? I have a black background and run a lot of blue and fish lie purple tangs would just be like a shadow swimming around the tank.

Depends on the species within the genus, some pop, others not so much. H. chrysus pops, H. rubricephalus doesn't. Melanurus isn't bad, marginatus, less so.

I am unfamiliar with the concept of a tank being 'wrassed out'. There's always room for one more wrasse.
Lol. Yea I was thinking a possum, maybe another leopard, a lot of nice fairies out there.... Tank is only a 40 breeder and all my wrasses are small right now. Some places would have probably beat me down over it by now. Lol
