Hmm, worth the risk wouldn't you guys say?
It just depends how much you valve those shrimp. If they did end up as snacks, would you be okay with it?

They can be pretty predatory. They have a surprisingly lg mouth, but anything lg enough not to be eaten will be fine.

Thoughts on the wrasse in this picture? @eatbreakfast has worked wih me on choosing this list and has done an awesome job! Im real happy. Just checking to see if im missing something for color or shape ect. There is one I have in mind. If I were to swap one it would probably be the exquisite. Can you guess with what?

Just be careful with the Cheilinus. A very personable fish, but all motile inverts are on the menu.

What you have pictured as an exquisitus is not; that picture is of scottorum (which you do not want - too aggressive).
Sidenote, but realize that the ember blenny will be muted uniform brown color, 99% of the time.

And +1 on that.

Thanks good catch! I wold not have got the scotts and would have realized i had the wrong picture eventually but its good you caught it early. Ill fix the picture :)

So in place of the exquisite what would you choose, or do you like the exquisite?

I see a lot of the muted in pictures. Im going to be picky about the ember and insist they get me one of the more vibrant colored ones, or I may just pick something else.

It's really a matter of personal taste. Compatibility wise it would be fine.

I'm afraid that won't matter; they do not keep that coloration.

Embers can be tricked into keeping their colors. Put a mirror near his favorite rock when you are at work one or two days a week. He will want to show off his dominance to the interloper.
