Added the new rocks and ordered a whole new RODI uggh. This is just a first draft. Yes the algae is really bad. Chitons have not done much if anything. However as I said my Acropora seem to be doing pretty well! These 4 in particular have really based out and added a good amount of non-base too.

So many things I was tempted to buy. The plates I think are too low light for me. Goniopora is impossible and I don't think a deresa is right for my tank. Too high light again.

I think plates can be acclimated to higher light. Mine are currently under 150-200 PAR.

I didn't think you could give a clam too much light...(?)
Well they do become a bit chewy if you over cook them.

JK good to know!

You'd be hard pressed to give them too much light. I understand croceas get something like >1000 PAR in the wild. For croceas/maximas, the recommendation is acro-level light (although flow a bit lower--you don't want them retracting mantles). Some people swear theirs do great at lower light levels. Course, then you also see emergency posts about people's clams dying suddenly for no reason... Derasas and squamosas can handle lower light, but I'd still be targeting 200+ for them.

Going home tomorrow. 91, and 96-year old grandparents didn’t die while I helped them shop so that’s good.

Excited to get back and maybe order some corals! Also I'm embracing the dragon wrasse as my spirit animal.

Not the right colors, but I like the wrasse. Also far too many LPS and softies in that reef and we know you only can grow high end SPS.

I have tried to generate a dragon wrasse with AI so many times. I’m just happy that for the first time it is actually a wrasse and not a bass :face-with-tears-of-joy:
