There's something fishy about this build...

Annoying update.

When I was gone the week before Christmas I got a report from the sitter that my tank was all weird. Turns out the ATO had stopped working. I thought it was the osmolator pump which has been struggling for a while.

So I ordered a new pump but today I did some troubleshooting and it is in fact the sensor….

To make matters worse I think the return pump was damaged by running in too low water as it has been very loud ever since so I need a new one. I had a backup but I plugged it in today and it ain’t turning on. I’ve only used it once before but it appears that that’s all it will ever do.

What # osmolator ? what return pump ?
I'll check which new ATO # have ,yours for shipping... 🙂

Ooof... a double whammy. That really sucks.

Good news: sensors are easy and cheap to replace. Kind of like you.

Can you disassemble your pump to give it an exam?

So I think I’m dumb. Though it’s hard to tell as there is construction but I think the loud pump sound may have been from my reactor pump which I had moved and was pressing against the glass.

As for the ATO unlike the pump I don’t see replacement sensors? Just the whole thing?

For now I’m using my old reefbreeders prism which is unreliable but better than nothing. The high water sensor on the osmo works at least so at least I have that alarm in case the prism fails on.

Was trying to get a good photo for POTM,but nothing was that good... maybe need to reduce the purple light. Oh well, at least you can see the new wrasse, both are doing well.

I mean, any of them will beat my submission (if mine even makes it to voting - they rarely do).

I’m thinking either the first but reduce the vibrance or the last?
@Fish Styx ? You said I should call
The last, absolutely. Can I play with it in Lightroom?

Good, because I already did:

It's yours. You can play with it in any room you like. Even a crowded room if you don't mind getting a ride in the back of a police cruiser.

I hope you're not implying that I'm a <gasp> Wrasse Wrangler, good sir!
