There's something fishy about this build...

Well we do have to be good little boys and girls. I’ve noticed that at least one other person is MIA….
So let’s all do our water changes and test our parameters…. Ok I mean let’s not go too crazy. Who tests anymore??
I am always testing alk and phosphates :P

the 2 big easies. Higher mags controls nuisance algae grazers don't eat. Keeping stable alk keeps keeps the lps from pouting.

Calcium is jugged by coraline growth. Mags is jugged by my monti. As it loses the blue rim, I add a few table spoons of mags.

But I don't want to test...

Though I should. The salinity on my eel tank was 1.020 which ain't good. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble keeping the water level stable which causes the ATO to dump a bucket load of water in every now and then.

The bigger issue is my lack of trust in the tests. I feel like there could easily be a 30+% error in every test. Also, Hanna is, IMO, a greedy company that does not deserve my money. They keep raising the prices on reagents that I'm sure cost almost nothing.

I understand 100%. Nate lost his montis because hanna lied about calcium. He had 200 calcium when hanna said it was much higher. Our tests kits are not even close to perfect. And each new test may be faulty when the last one was great. I say that by those who test and send out icp and compare. Sometimes their kits are very close to what the icp reads.

But,. i used to have a coral list of keepers to tell me when I needed certain things. I forgot my list. I did it for my last reef. This one has been test focused and not nearly as stable as my last one.

There are coral that say "you need to feed me some potassium, we are low. HEY Calcium is dropping... Get to work.. Where is my magnesium woman?" Magnesium is now being told by my green monti. ahh I need pics...

If the purple rim fades, i just drop i. 2 tablespoons of epsom. Wait a few days, add again until the purple is back.

No, i do t recommend my method to anyone.
Also, lps tell me i need more fish.

Do you have a purple Monti plate? I only see red and green and I’m not a fan of that color combo

it's the rim of the green, the rim is purple while the monti base is green. I never could keep the purple monti I got alive. Old bta story.

I'm out. I don't remember when my last water change or water test was....

I have two new ones... Bright orange and a purple/black with green polyps. Neither one has actually started plating yet though so I'm not convinced.

Go vote for whatever fool you want to. Though I do have some notes on the appearances of some of you.
@JoJosReef it clearly states 18 or older
@Anna K the hair in your eyes makes you look like you have slitted cats eyes
@mjszos everytime I see your photo I think you are threatening us with a sword for a second

I'm an old soul. Also there should be no mistaking, that hair puts me solidly in the 80s/early 90s.

So, plating coral will encrust until they feel like plating. As for encrusters. I don't know if they ever actually plate. But they might to extend their surface?
