Last 24 hours in LA, then back to the tanks. Went hiking and tried out escape rooms for the first time yesterday. I'm still processing all of my images and videos from the dives but expect a lot coming soon.

For the sake of @Stang67 id say that Kelp forests don't quite have the biodiversity of a healthy reef but there is something so magestic about kelp and other giant algae's (macro macro algae??). It's something you have to do.

Long term; if sand settles and stays there, the flesh below will die. Though the coral can still be healthy. Example, the inner sections of a spiraling montipora cap.
I would direct more flow toward(above and away from) the chalice to prevent the sand from settling on the coral. Chalice can take some flow. Easier than doing it yourself, prettier than accepting a ever growing dead area on coral in prime location...

Well one piece fell off. I really don't know what to do with all the pieces. My lights don't go fully on for another few hours and it's still grumpy.

Phosphate is down to 0.25 so my GFO reactor is definitely working.
