Hey everyone, need some help. Lots of DIY projects call for thin Wall PVC. I have had a heck of time trying to find some. Anyone know where I should be looking? I'm in Indianapolis, IN.

While I am not in your area. I can't find thin wall at large hardware stores like lowes and homedepot but smaller stores in my area carry is like ACE or some non chain plumbing suppliers.

You sure they dont mean schedule 40 by thin wall? Schedule 80 is thick wall stuff. Both available at any hardware store. Schedule 40 is fine for any aquarium

CPVC CTS Pipe
Copper Tube Size (CTS) CPVC Pipe
CPVC CTS, or Copper Tube Size CPVC pipe is used for hot and cold water distribution. CPVC CTS is used for pressure systems that will not exceed 180 degrees Fahrenheit. The sizing system for this type of pipe is different from standard PVC parts, so they cannot be used together. CTS pipe should always be used with CTS fittings. Our line of CTS CPVC pipe and fittings is easy to recognize by its tan, almost yellow color. Our pipe is sold in 5 foot lengths for easy shipping.

I've found it at my HD as well, also listed as sch20 PVC. Although with it's slightly larger I.D. you will in theory get slightly more flow, the amount will be insignificant IMO. I also find it slightly harder to work with due to its somewhat flexible walls. It tends to be just a little harder to cut with standard PVC cutters. Otherwise, it is perfectly fine to use anywhere in your system.

You can also purchase thin wall PVC at Formufit.com, it's only available in white though.

Yeah I've used it a few times on returns when I'm trying to get absolutely the last gph I can out of a pump. ( whether I did or not is debatable )
I found it doesn't cut well with my miter chop saw. Big chips.

Ya its very brittle and breaks/shatters easily. its not intended for direct contact or abuse. It's what they use in Mobile Homes.

Schedule 10 pvc should be near the irrigation stuff. Most of the stuff is really brittle though. I would recommend cutting it with a saw rather than a pvc cutter. Every time I try and make an irrigation repair is shatters and I end up using a hack saw.
