I had issues with ULN would dose a tiny bit of new phos to get it out of zero but I was not consistent with it then I got AEFW well this tank is 90% acropora so awesome I did some
Dipping was lazy about it didn't want to rip
Things apart well months go by and I see that they are still there and nothings growing things are pale tank looks like **** so I say F it and rip every acro off the rocks and put them on frag plugs if they were to big for plug I put them on egg crate off of the rocks and start dipping twice a week for 6 weeks during this time I put the neo phos and pushed it though till I got it to .08.

Thank you yeah I had almost no growth for like nine months due to ultra low nutrients and 5 months of AEFW everything was pale and growing so

I fixed the issues once I did it changed so fast got color for more growth tips

I used to keep acros in my 5g pico with surprising success but eventually I was tired of the stress and sold them all and seeing yours has me wanting to get back into them especially now with a bigger tank

for me It was the constant dosing and testing for such a small water volume and the worrying of while I was on vacation what would happen to them but with a bigger tank I'm gonna take steps to start keeping them again

You said 5 gallons right? That's wild. There is zero room for error. Like zero. Even getting a dosing pump set correctly would be wild. I guess that’s too small for something like that. Just big water changes, right

yeah and I was dosing so so many elements and chemicals I had dosing bottles everywhere eventually I got tired of all the upkeep and sold it to my lfs and my life was so much easier after lol, before I had gone through two near tank crashes just because I missed a waterchange the first time and the second because a temporary power outage

I try and keep it simple I dose30 ML of all for reef daily and 20 ML of neo phos daily I only really test my alk and phos I'll check Cal and mag every few months same with Nitrate

yeah on my second try soon I'll definetly invest in a auto dosing system and stream line my dosing into only a few stuff

I like all for reef it's not as calculated as two part. But for me, it’s one less thing.

might pick up some acro frags at rap la soon my only regret of selling off my old acros was I had a awesome lokani that was dark green when I got it as a frag and became a rainbow mini colony, wish I had photos of that tank and specifically that colony
