I like going with a 10g tank (5/32” thick glass), or a 20g tank (3/16” thick glass) for the purposes of testing!I’ve never drilled a tank before but maybe it would be a good idea to get a cheap 2.5 or 5 gal Petco tank to practice drilling first?
The 2.5g and 5g are <=1/8” thick glass typically, this is so thin and fragile that it can actually be more of a challenge to drill through cleanly in many cases!
