They're harmless in my experience. They do multiply rather quickly though. I kept them in my old tank. Just depends if you wanna see a bunch of them on your rock or not.

If they get out of hand they can become a issue, otherwise they are just part of the CUC.

There are some that eat corals like zoas. Too many species to know what's safe or not. Keep a close eye

Members of the Asterina family are all but impossible to identify down to a species level. Their diets vary greatly. I would remove them just to be safe. We've had white ones, dark ones, ones with color etc. eating our zoas and palys.
