I found these little guys in my pod culture. I have not seen them before. is it actually a pod or something else?

That looks like a flatworm. Some of them are benign some kill corals when there are millions of them. Sometimes they get to such numbers that they lay on the corals and kill them by cutting off the light.

Of course it is hard to tell from the picture and it could be a baby Hippopotamus.
