As requested by @higher99 , I’m finally going to show everyone my sump. I’m showing it all—not hiding a thing—so I should probably be charging $5 for the show! I know the wire management leaves something to be desired, but I’m constantly moving things around (just like tonight) to install more equipment.

A BIG thanks to @08TRDOFFROAD for coming over and helping me hook up the doser. It’s been sitting in a closet for months because it was so intimidating. DON'T WORRY, I paid him really well—but you’ll have to head over to his thread to see what the payment was!

A little update for today: My salinity dropped to 1.024, and my corals definitely weren't happy about it. I decided to hook a container of saltwater up to my ATO—an idea I picked up from @08TRDOFFROAD—and that seems to have done the trick.

Regarding chemistry, I tested my alkalinity at 8.9 dKH on Monday (the day I installed the doser). It's now Thursday, and it’s sitting at 8.8 dKH. I’m going to keep a close eye on it to see if I need to bump the dosing up a bit, but for now, the tank is looking great!

You know I’ve found corals in general to be fairly adaptable, especially softies and LPS. Here’s what my parameters were last week.

And yet corals were pretty happy - same day . I wouldn’t fret too much your tank looks nice and healthy, at least to me.

Okay guys, here’s a little update on my reefing journey.

I’m selling both my 20-gallon Waterbox and my Biocube. I’ve decided to shut them down as part of an effort to scale down to just one tank for now.

Eventually, when I find the right setup, I’m thinking about going with a peninsula tank—possibly even a dedicated SPS system.

I’ve also realized that I won’t be running AI lights again—right now, I’m a Radion guy.

As of today, I picked up three new corals. I went to grab both mine and @08TRDOFFROAD coral order (diesel fuel is ridiculously expensive), and I ended up with a torch coral that’s already splitting into three heads, a Bubblegum Digi, and a carpet anemone.

Another thing i wanted to ask my lps friends. This coral will not open. Ive had him in the shade and at the bottom of the tank. Any suggestions.
Well you’re doing the right things . It’s severely withdrawn but I don’t see any brown jelly type substance or any other signs of disease. You might want to try doing prophylactic dip of flatworm meds. Good luck

Okay after a dip in the peroxide based dip the coral is no longer as shrunken up. May need to do a few more dips.

How is the frogspawn doing? Did you dip it again? You should post all the pics you text me the other night in here to show everyone!
