I am not sure what product but this is generally correct, the magnets only mount in one direction correctly, this is an intentional design so the magnets are positioned so the field has the least influence on the pump.
 
Like this, these 4 holes are not squares, they are rectangles. If you clean the equipment and install it back, pay attention, this will be the cause of noise and vibration.

Yes, this is a deliberate design, it keeps the magnet holder oriented in such a way that the effect on the rotating magnetic field is minimized, if turned the wrong way, the magnet holder affects the rotation of the impeller and will cause noise. It will only fit properly in the correct orientation.
