Looks like fun!

I am jealous! That looks like such a beautiful area.

However you can change the scenery a bit and change the fish to Minnesota walleye and that's my summer ;) My dad actually had his hands on a 46" muskie but didn't have the big net with since they were fishing walleyes and he lost it since he couldn't grip it well enough. Always a blast, that's for sure.

Cass Lake MN evening fishing for walleyes:

Yeah MN is on my list of places to fish. I was up in Alaska this past weekend fishing. I will be back up next weekend for one padt weekend out on the open water. Then Sept and October I hit the rivers and creeks with the fly rod!!

If you want to hit MN, consider coming up to the Cass Lake or Leech Lake areas. Both are great Walleye lake, but if you want to try your luck to catch the infamous Muskie you should hit Cass Lake. There is a place called Cass Lake Lodge that has cabins available and has a great starting point to head out to the fishing spots. I can get you spots if you want them too. Our cabin is attached to the resort and our boats are on the lifts ready to go at a moment's notice ;)

Thanks for the info I will let you know. My son loves to fish as well so he would be excited. We fished VT this past spring.

Yes in Deed AK_Reefer:bigsmile:! I was just in the Puyallup River and pulled out 4 and in the Puget Sound around the San Juans and pulled another 4 all silvers and didn't think about my tank once. Going to go crabbing soon i'm sure the tank wont be on my mind then either. Very nice catches, It's great to be in the NW:bounce:

Yeah Daryl you have to pove the PNW!! I dont fish much around the Seattle area but I am going to try this year. I do most of my salmon fishing in Alaska.

Dinner has been had twice. Gotta get the smoker going next!! Nothing like smoked salmon chowder!!

Your 100% on the differences in the Puget Sound and Alaska! I have friend I cost every other year to go fishing and this is my odd year so next year I'm up their and the smoke salmon chowder is worth it's weight in gold.

Headed up to Alaska again last weekend. She caught her first salmon. Then the weather kicked up and we had to park the boat so I hit my favorite creek with the fly road. A little early but making their way in. I will be up again next weekend hopefully a lot more action.
