For me the thing I dread having to do is recharging the calcium reactors. They are heavy when filled with media and water.
Take it out of the sump (unplug the recirc pump and disconnect the supply pump, CO2 line, and pH probe)
Take the top off, take it outside and dump the gray mud out.
Wash it down.
Take the pump apart and clean it.
Pour the new media in and put the top back on.
Take it back to the sump (it's real heavy now)
Hook everything back up and verify the pH probe to controller is accurate.
Whew!
