Those who ditched their rollermats

Looking specifically for people who have used rollermats but have since discontinued its use. I'm curious why you ditched your rollermat / automatic fleece filter.

I've read a few folks who ditched theirs due to nutrients bottoming out too quickly but curious to hear from others as well.

Mine (integrated part of a dreambox sump from Royal Exclusive) was active for about 10 minutes. As the filter activated when I dosed bacteria and bacteria food I realised this would be too efficient. I want those in the water of course. So I discontinued it, and have it as an option should I need it.

My nutrient levels more or less stayed the same after moving to a fleece roller, so I'm coming up on a year of use with no downside.
