Time to burn my tank down

I found this on my plumbing. I'm in NJ and we have some spiders bit this guy is huge. That's 1 inch pvc for scale

Ha! We have wolf spiders here that are 1" to 3" and I kill one every few weeks! I think my cat eats way more than I kill!

Spiders give me the creeps! I don't mind snakes or most bugs (especially since we started raising butterflies). But bugs with more than 6 legs and especially big bugs are just creepy to me.

Spiders in your house are like pest snails in a freshwater tank. They help with controlling things but if they start to overrun, you have bigger problems.

We had a crap ton of brown recluse spiders once. Regular poisons dont work (they dont groom themselves). We fogged the house and it made it worse (they love to eat "dead" bugs). Sooooo........... I sold the whole dang house!

I love snakes. Even the poisonous ones I won't kill. Just Avoid them and keep the dogs inside if I ever see one in the yard, which I haven't.

I like almost all the creatures most people find gross and scary, spiders, snakes, scorpions, but the only I cannot take are cockroaches. They give me the creeps so bad.

good move! I had a childhood friend that died from one.. not directly from the poison but ensuing staff infection. I never liked spiders before but that was icing on the cake for me.

Reminds me of our banana tree in Louisiana, only lived there for a year but 100% sure I saw one of those in a banana tree we had in the back yard

Best spider spray I use is Black Flag spider & scorpion killer. I spray it once a year in the basement around the parameter and never see a live one. I find dead wolf spiders but never live.

Brown recluse spiders have such a bad wrap. Most of the reported brown recluse spider bites are not that of a brown recluse. Most of the brown recluse spiders people see are juveniles or males.

On a side note brown recluse spiders can change shades depending on what they eat. The fangs of a brown recluse are so small they only pierce the first or second layer of the skin. You will never feel a brown recluse bite.

Yellow sac spiders can turn a red tint if feed red eyes fruit flies. Insects and arachnids are fascinating creatures.

All spiders get such a bad wrap. I was in the Army and one night out on maneuvers in Texas, we were sleeping and I woke up to the most high pitched screaming I had ever heard in my life. I never laughed so hard as when I saw two grown burly soldiers over six feet tall screaming like little girls because a four inch tarantula crawled past their sleeping bags.

Be glad you weren't in the desert and that was a camel spider. I don't care if they are just chasing your shadow to get out of the sun or not. You will be screaming too the first time one of them sneaks up on you or it goes past your sleeping bag.
