Hi everyone,

Recently got 2 small Red Sea juvi regals from divers den. The smaller one is eating like a champ...the bigger one won’t touch a thing. I got the bigger one Tuesday. It ate a few mysis PE pellets and hasn’t touched anything since.

I’ve tried the following:

- mysis
- brine shrimp
- LRS (multiple types, reef frenzy, fish frenzy and herbivore)
- rods frozen blend
- Hikari mega Marine angel formula frozen blend
- PE mysis pellets 1-2mm
- new life spectrum thera + pellets
- hikari marine carnivore pellets
- ocean nutrition formula 2 pellets
- ocean nutrition formula 1 flakes

I then went and got fresh mussels and clams. Put one of each on the half shell and nothing! Those have always worked in the past for me!

I’m stumped here! I assumed since it came from Dover den it would eat by now.

Any thoughts? The small one loved the fresh mussels! Not the larger one. Both of these guys are small 2 1/4” and 2 3/4”.

I am following the QT protocol everyone seems to follow on here if HotRocks so they are in copper right now. I know that suppresses appetite.

Thanks

Can you get some live black worms? If not, you can try frozen blood worms. We may be worth a shot. Some people recommend soaking the food in garlic although it never seemed to make a difference for me.

Would a fish store have these? Never had to get these before. Thanks

I've never found live worms at any of my LFS's, so you would have to ask. They should carry frozen blood worms though, but again, you'll have to take a look.

Fish may have the frozen blood worms,

Wish I could help You. Just received a bunch of fresh roe from a fishing friend of mine. Try a fish market or Asian store. As mentioned above .
very beautiful fish Sorry one isn't doing well. One can see the color difference between the two. Hope he makes it !
