Both are great for your corals and plankton eaters! The phyto is a nice green and can be stored in the fridge when not dosing to the tank. The pods have been raised on phyto and are dense in each bottom. They are great for starting you colony or to just help with picky eaters. The pods have allowed me to keep a Mandarin in my 12g nano!
I dose both to my tank, which is immediately produces a feeding response from my corals and Mandarin!
