I'm brand new to saltwater. This will be my first saltwater tank. It's going to be a very slow build because I have to piece it together as I can afford it. What I've started with so far:
Tank - Innovative Marine Fusion 40
Stand -
TBD. I really want the black APS stand but Marinedepot is killing me with that $100.00 special shipping charge.
Protein Skimmer - NuvoSkim DC (Midsize)
Heater - Cobolt 150w.
RODI - RO Buddie -
This thing has worked great for the price!

Rock - I've bought some dry rock from my LFS.
That's all I've been able to get right now. I will update when I get some more stuff.

Congrats on your new build! You've got the right idea getting everything together and planning things out.

Stands can come up from time to time used on here and always check Craigslist too.

Congrats on the new tank, Looks like a great start! Do you plan to start cycling your rock while you continue to get parts? Saves time on the tank startup later!

I just set up a IM 25g lagoon black which is the same footprint as yours. I build the stand out of 80/20 aluminum as I wanted more space for the sump. With yours being an AIO you won’t have that issue. But DIY is always an option

Hey, that's an awesome stand. It came out great. I am pretty decent at woodworking so the DIY is definitely an option, and a lot cheaper. I just love that sleek look of the stand.

It is actually 80/20 t slot aluminum with a wood panel skin. Check out my build thread for my 25 and you will see how I built it

Nice build so far! I ordered my nuvo 20 and APS stand from bulkreefsupply. Shipping is free on orders over $29 there

It's free from marinedepot as well, except the stand is considered a special shipping item, or something along those lines. So they add $100.00.
My LFS was a bit disappointing. I asked them if they carried the new kessil, and he said no. Then I asked about the Radion, and he said no, we can order that stuff, but your better off ordering it online. Kind of annoying. Trying to support a small business, and they just brush me off.

That seems ridiculous that marine depot adds a $100 charge. I'm looking at my order from brs for my nuvo 20, aps stand and sicce 1.0 and I paid $4.99 for ups ground shipping

Picked up some more dry rock from my LFS and have just been experimenting with some ideas. Opened up my cave a little bit more. The Dremel makes light work of it.

Welcome!

I vote for a DIY stand. It always feels good knowing u built it. I built my stand for my cvue 40.

Look on youtube and R2R for stand ideas. I would reccomend building something more at eye level height. That way u dont have to bend over everytime u look at the tank.

So I was able to score this bad boy using the 15% off pet medication code the day of the DR Fosters & Smith sale. I don't know how they let that slip by, but that's a win for me. After tax it was only like $302.00, shipping included!

I thought they had a deal on there, buy any nano tank, and get a free stand? Did they not?

Nice score
They might have, but I had bought my tank previously, so I was searching for the stand for a reasonable price.
