Toadstool dead

Hi,
My Japanese DW Toadstool has looked like this for about a month now.
When is it time to call it?
I understand they look sad when they shed but this one hasn't shown any sign of life and I read that they can cause problems in the tank if they are left to rot.

From my own experience, I tell you to leave it there; mine went through a whole process of about 5 months or a little more.

Give it more flow, can see what looks like detritus building up on it. How is the lighting, it looks a bit pale.

This is 4th Jan, last time it looked happy.
Was glowing green. Has been fading since then.
Not changed the lighting since I got it. 9 months ago.
 
Any updates? I hope the little guy pulled through.
Yes, thanks. It's definitely trying! It's never had a particularly strong foot. No matter what angle I put it at it struggles to hold its head up. I wonder if that's why it was on sale? Bad attachment. It's been greener but I'm just glad it's still alive.
