Is there any particular reason this guy is deflated like this? It looks healthy and extending well but it’s an eye sore looking it like that. It has always been there in the same spot, no lighting was change nor the wave maker. Usually, he could stand up by itself.

I have 5 different toadstools right now and they all. Do this every so often as part of their normal cycle. Sulking building up a waxy layer to shed. Looking like where have you been all my life stunning after. This is one of kine currently. Ill take a pic tomorrow and itll be open and living its best life..

I see this often for others and 9 out of 10 times, its inadequate flow and even lighting as well as high phosphates. These specimens need med-high flow and moderate to medium light. Insufficient flow will allow algae to grow on its surface and prevent polyp extension. Give the head of the coral a few burst from a turkey baster to clean surface and perk it up

Sulking is normal, but at the same time they need good flow to help them shed their outer mucus layer and also to help them stand up. Low water movement will make them sulk perpetually. Seeing its position behind the rocks in the corner, I guess this is a very low flow spot. I would move it into a better position.
