Hey so I have a toadstool coral that I’m worried about ever since he’s been under my virespectra lights he’s been doing poorly. Recently he looked very bad and I’m wondering is he bleaching?

How long has it been doing that? My leather would retract and shrink for days and pop back up after a couple of days.

It’s been like this for about 2 weeks. It had shed two or three times then just went back into this state and it looks like the flesh is falling off. You can see it in the pics.

Changed the flow at all? May be having a hard time with the shed
No flow change. There might be a slight chance he was stung by a long tentacle anemone but it’s very slight.
Pics w/ white lights are best but i think you are ok.
Can’t do white lights because that’s as white as they let me go without changing the blue. And pardon my French but it’s a real pain in the butt lol.

its really weird around 2 months ago a leather i had for years also randomly started melting, within 2 days its just a pile of white powder, it looked like yours for 2 days or so b4 it happened. The weirdest part was everything else was fine, even the other leather in the tank.

edit: now that I think of it, it might have been the light cuz i moved a big monti cap above it around 2 weeks b4 it happened

Alkalinity 8.4
Calcium 425
Magnesium 1,350
Phosphate.08
Nitrate 10ppm
Temp 81
Salinity 1.025
If you don’t mind me asking what makes you think it’s ok?
My leathers have done that at some point or another, people have come into lfs w/ leathers similar condition. I would move it away from nem if possible and put it in a slightly higher flow. They get temperamental but never had issues w/ 1 melting.

So he’s still closed up. I’m really not sure what to do. I haven’t moved him from the spot he’s in yet because I wanted to see what you guys think first. He’s in decent flow with medium light. My parameters are as followed
Calcium 425
Alkalinity 8.2
Magnesium 1,500
Phos .15
Ph 8.2
Everything seems to be in the norm so should I move him? If so where?. Here’s what he looked like three months ago vs what he looks like now
