Hi
Is this normal? It's been in the tank for 4 days.
Looks slimy and has scabs on it.
It has shown any polyps since the LFS.

It is likely just shedding, they'll do this from time to time.

If it starts getting brown or rotting, then there is a problem. Give it some time, it looks fine to me.

If it's anything like mine, it'll do it more often when it's smaller, then less and less as it gets bigger ... almost like growth spurts.

Never fails with my neon green toadstool. After fragging it down to its stem, it'll be open for a week or two then close for a few days. Open for another week or two, only looking a bit bigger. Then close for a few days. Once it reaches 4-6" across, it'll only close up once every 6-10 weeks or so.

I've had one for two years, grown from about 1" to 5-6".. he just spent the last four days looking like yours and now he's wide open again.. he does that from time to time..

Nice. Thanks for the response. It's still shedding the old coat.
