Ok, I broke down and got my tang today. A 2 inch Tomini. He was fat, grazie in the tank at the store and they had him for three weeks they said. 59.95 I hope I didn't over pay. Anyway he is my first tang . Tank mates are all adult , copperband, one spot fox, niger trigger, yellow tailed damsel ( not aggressive) and a falcon hawk. The tang dove into the rock upon entering so I haven't been able to enjoy him yet. But hay I have a tang LOL :face-with-hand-over-mouth:

Update: tang is out and so small! Just a tiny bit bigger than the yellow tailed damsel. Still hanging close to the tunnel he has chosen. Damsel is the only fish to challenge the tang. It didn't go as planned as the tang showed his tail back to the damsel and the damsel backed off. Good progress.

What do you feed him? I got a baby Tomini yesterday, too  He is eating my algae on the rocks and eating blanched peas, but overall doing perfectly fine. I ordered sea veggies a few days ago and will come Monday.

Loved my little tomini when I had one

Tomini tangs have an interesting character, they’re shy at first and hide away until they get to know you, and what’s interesting is that every time someone new looks at the tank, it’ll immediately hide back, which indicate their ability to recognize humans.

It’s an awesome fish, enjoy it!
