Too many live sales..

If a company was honest and charged the absolute lowest they can, why would they ever need “sales?” I’d buy from that vendor every time if their everyday price was the best...
Well spoken, agree 100%. There wouldn’t be a need for sales if they where fare about the pricing in the first place.

When I first started shopping at Living Reef Orlando and Top Shelf the prices were so good. PC Rainbow was $15-$20,Pearl Berry was like $30,all the original Monti's were no more than $20. Zoa's then were $5-$20pp now they are $30-$70pp.

Have you seen these places farms ? Thousands of gallons, huge retail places with 6-8ft grow out tanks.. So you are telling me that they have to mark up a $10-$20 frag 10x,slap a fancy name to make it something special in order to make money with these sales ? Get outta here.

All these pieces that were no names 4-5 years ago are 10x more than they used to be and use these "sale" as a place to unload them. People like myself can't even enjoy the hobby because I don't have/want to spend the $100+ for a green tenuis which is now dubbed Hulks 3rd leg Tenuis lol. Different strokes for different folks. Places like Coral Euphoria,BattleCorals,Cherry Corals,TCK when they have the site loaded and aren't participating in a LS,AAF,BSA will get my business when it comes time. Thankfully CFL has plenty of locals not robbing hobbyist for their cash.

#endofmyrant lol.

I agree with most, I did 2 live sales when I first got into the hobby and that was it after that. Who has that much time to sit around and watch a live sale with a few nice pieces spread out to keep you interested? Not me. BC has me covered!

Don’t forget Jason Fox. All of them named, will have the same coral with different names and people go stupid crazy to buy them at ridiculous prices.

Like most people I have a job, which requires me to be there for 10hrs a day lol ain't nobody got time for that !!! I guess I just cherish my money more than most and budget myself on what I spend money on. I'd rather be at work making money than sitting at home spending it. I have a wife that does that part for me  haha.

Never done a live sale, and don't see myself ever doing one. Its just not the way I prefer to do business. Seems like nowadays that there is one going on just about every week. My personal opinion is that anytime somebody is rushing you to buy something they are probably hoping you are overlooking something else.

But that's just me. Apparently there are a lot of people that like to participate in the live sales and so its seems to be a win/win. The vendors like doing the live sales and people like participating.

I, like some others have already stated, wish that buyers would be more discerning as I do believe some vendors are really liking that eventually someone will pay any price for that fancy named coral that they decide to stick on it.

But you know this is America and you can spend your money any way you like. I have my opinions but I am not judging others.

Absolutely,I agree on basically every aspect of your response !!!

Also want to add that even if a company does not do live sales, if they have CLEARLY photoshopped & extremely zoomed in photos I don't buy. I personally don't care how great the deal, company or coral is there is no need to false advertise, that speaks volumes to me
