Too many live sales..

I gave up on live sales, bc they're not really sales anymore... just another thing to sell stuff they need to move for not much of a discount. With a couple pieces that are super cheap just to keep interest. But that's just my opinion.

There is a lot of sales and competition yes, but it offers many choices and different price points.
No One can say they cant find coral at this point

I don't play. can't risk only scoring one piece I bid on and then add shipping. can buy it locally for less.
add all of those to our monthly local frag shows.

I haven't participated in one for years. Takes way too much time, too many nonsense and utterly stupid posts to continuously have to scroll through, only to think you have finally got one until you go to check out and it disappears from your cart. No more for me...bsa
ps...please do not slam me for my opinion... it is just my opinion!

I have never bought anything off a live sale but they seem to be losing their charm as many frags afterwards seem to not have been purchased.

I got into this hobby to relax not stress out in live sales. I don't like the idea of being rushed through the checkout or else I loose the coral to someone who's got their CC and shipping info already saved. As many others stated it's kinda silly and over marketed.

I find them pointless honestly. But that is me. They really tend to big spenders, from what I see and most of the time prices aren't AMAZING.

Like TCK hasn't had anything on their site for awhile because I am assuming of live sales,CaliKids is the same way. They need to do what Living Reef does and keep a tank stocked specifically for LS's and eBay.

Prices have gotten so out of hand the past few years anyways. Zoa's like Eagle Eye's and Magicians have gone from $3-$5 a polyp to $15-$20 which is insane. Like TSA has CAR's for like $75!! It makes me want to just cash out and forget the hobby. Its a name game nowadays.

I'm with the majority. I'm not a fan. Rush me through buying so I don't lose the coral I want only to miss the fine print that I have to spend X amount of $ to get free shipping or whatever. Plus I find that 99% of the pics show unrealistic colors under insanely blue light, I buy in person or not at all

I'm sure there are a lot of people who enjoy them, they seem to move a lot of corals quickly. Which is great. From my perspective, it's a few $5 frags mixed in with all the rest which sell at normal market prices, with zero time to decide on making the buy. Pass.

I agree with basically 100% of the people so far. I remember there would be like 3-5 live sales A YEAR now its like 2-3 every month if not more.. Kind of insane if you ask me.

I feel like with all the bans and what not going on even though I know one has been lifted if more aquaculture companies sat on colonies, let them grow then make frags, prices would be super low. But theu get them butcher them and then charge $2-300 for a half inch frag..YIKES. Idk the hobby is just starting to put a horrible taste in my mouth I think.

If a company was honest and charged the absolute lowest they can, why would they ever need “sales?” I’d buy from that vendor every time if their everyday price was the best...

I think at first it was a good thing and you could get some good deals but Now they have gotten greedy and in the last six months prices have gone up. It’s a scam now. They sale a few piece that don’t sale anyway for 1-5 dollars and the rest are regular or over priced. Now they have started saying you can only get a few of the 1-5 dollar pieces. The shipping is also getting stupid high. You have one that will be soon with a 50 dollar ship charge. Just like the hobby the prices will continue to go up until people stop paying these ridiculous prices. It’s labeled live sale, meaning it’s being sold live not on sale.
