My tooth coral usually closes at night but why might he be bleaching? Has anyone had success with tooth coral or are they harder to keep?

It's relatively easy coral. Check your alkalinity and other chemistry. Mod lighting to flow, you might consider different placement.

BTW it's a Galexia, common name is Tooth coral and a very aggressive coral that will send out sweeper tentacles and sting other corals.

Agree galaxea are pretty fast growers. Water perimeters are what may be issue. They are usually undemanding.

My magnesium was a little low but I fixed everything and moved it to a higher flow area that is more isolated
