I am very new at this so I could just be doing something stupid but I have a viewfinder, Canon 6D, Tamron Macro Lens I also have a Canon 24-70mm. I am trying to take a top down picture of a coral that is 6-8" from the top of the water and I cannot get it to focus on the coral I only get the base rock under the coral.

I have been setting the camera lens on the viewfinder so that it is basically at the surface of the water needed to focus on coral that is 6-8" away from the lens... What would I do to achieve this?

Thanks!

I ordered one... I guess then I could be submersed at an angle around my light and then focus manually closer?

Seems like this is really the answer I was looking for Thank You!
