Hi all,

I just got home from work and commented to my gf how well my torch coral was looking. It was full and extended the most I’ve seen it since I brought it home. I cleaned my glass with a magnet cleaner and fed a small amount of mysis shrimp and walked away. After about ten minutes I can back to see my torch coral was completely deflated. Has anyone else experienced this?

Mine did it the other night after being in the tank for a few weeks. They will do that from time to time. Look for brown stringy stuff coming from the coral. It may just be trying to expel some waste.

This happens whenever I feed oyster feast , or Mysis. They are very aggressive feeders so it’s possible it caught something , or sensed it. If the only thing you did was feed the tank, I wouldn’t worry at all!

If nothing else has changed in the tank it is probably fine. Check back in a little bit with an update.
