Torch coral help.

So a while ago I noticed a stem pertruding laterally from the main stem on my torch coral. And today I discovered yet another stem same description. They both seem to be a quarter of an inch long maybe spittle shorter but don't seem to be tapered, and are very skinny. The coral itself has been doing very well it's never closed so I'm assuming its 2 new heads but I wouldn't mind some confirmation.

might be just a tube worm.. i see them all the time. does it look like a smooth version of this: http://www.reefforum.net/photopost/data/503/bicho-esquisito.jpg ?

No they seem to be the same material as the main stem with white tips. But idk what color the tips are during the day which is what really counts because my torch opens so big. And at night everything fades we all know.
