Torch Coral Placement

Running a 29 gallon biocube. First reef tank. Looking for suggestions on placement since live aquaria sent it to me on accident and I was not planning on having a coral so early. It seems to reach pretty far. I can leave it where it is or move it. Spot 1 seems to get a heavier flow. Will it acclimate?

Looks pretty good. When it opens like that, it likes the spot its in.

@joshkirkland83 So i should move the mussels and coral companions close to the glass so the torch doesn't reach out and harass them?

The torch looks happy there but that doesn't mean it won't look the same in other spots of the tank. Accommodate the layout that suits your tank. If you're planning on getting more corals and isolation is key, then the corner makes sense. Try it for a couple days and see how it does compared to where it is now. If you still want it there, you can always play with the flow. If the current spot is the sweet spot, then back the other corals up another couple inches just to be safe

I find lps to be the most forgiving in placement. I've had my torch all over. Always happy. Right now its an inch under the surface. top center/left

Looks happy to me. Like others have said, it won't extend tentacles like that unless it's happy. Just get stuff close to it out of the way and leave it where it is. You just want corals out of range of its sweeper.
