Torch coral question/concern

so I just got my first coral and it's a torch coral just put it in my tank yesterday afternoon it has 4 heads on it two of them opened up within about 30 mins the other remainded closed for the majority at night two hours before I turn my lights off I put the blue lights on and all four heads were opened up they were in kinda a decently high flow area as well as in the sand bed . This morning I glued them into a piece of small live rock and moved em to a slower flow area still at the bottom of the tank the Same two heads opened up but the other two again remains closed just turned on my blues to see what happens . Anyone have any advise would u say this is normal do I have to move it

By the looks of them they don't look to healthy, should have a fleshy base.

They we're dying when you got them. There shouldn't be skeleton showing when open.

Most likely, no. But I've had lps stop receding and just stay like that. Whats your water parameters?

Calcium-400 ppm
Dkh- 161.1
Phosphate-.25ppm

How is the flow where they are located?!
Lps are resilient corals
If you take care of them they can come back
Some have even come back from only skeletons! Have faith!
Keep your parameters clean!

The water flow isn't crazy where there at now it's prob one of the slower flow areas in the tank

What kind of tests are you using?

It probably isn't the issue, but your nitrates and/or phosphates are wrong.

Its part of the hobby sometimes. I got a buddy that says, "if you can light a $100 on fire and not cry, you're ready for a reef tank."

I believe he meant ppm. He said 161, so that's about 9dkh.
