Hello everyone,

Does anyone know what this is growing on my torch coral skeleton and should I be worried?

I’d remove that regardless, it’s not supposed to be there and will likely impede flesh moving downward.

I’d try a exacto blade or similar.

Then, no worry.

Better safe than sorry. It doesn’t look like any type of sponge I’ve seen before so I just wanted to get someone’s opinion on it.
