Torch coral receding

Hey all. Recently as of yesterday one of the torches tentacles were receded and I’m not exactly sure was. Wasn’t a slow overtime recession but more as within a day. They weren’t completely retracted but pretty close. It’s a newer torch but have it next to 2 others and they are perfectly fine and happy. I’m a newer reefer and tank is newer but not sure exactly why. Slowly progressing through small cyano and alage outbreak which is normal. Parameters are ph 8, alkalinity 9.3-9.6 calcium 450-470 magnesium 1350-1410 but nitrates are really low less than 2 or 0. I don’t have a phosphate tester yet. Tentacles are fatter so I don’t expect them to be super long like my others but was just something new that happened. Thought maybe too much light since it’s slightly higher up than the others so I moved it a bit lower. Could that be it? I know flow isn’t the issue atleast I think. Thanks for the help!

Do you know if those two torches are potentially stinging the upset one?

Yes the one has very long sweeper tentacles. But can’t all torches touch eachother and be fine. I would understand if it was like a hammer or frogspawn

Not necessarily. I have many experiences where same corals get along and cases where same corals kill each other.

I’m not saying this is the case, but better to take precaution and move it and eliminate this possibility.

I read on another forum that sometimes torches from different regions can sting each other. I’m not exactly sure where these are from but I know skinnier tentacles come from Indonesia while thicker ones can come from Australia. This maybe can be the case I’m not entirely sure. I moved it a little bit where it shouldn’t be touched unless the sweepers are really long. At already looks better than it did I’m gonna give it a day to see if it opens up more in this lighting
