Torch coral splitting?

My torch has been in my tank about 3 weeks now. Has been doing really well and last week I thought it was splitting and posted on here about and people agreed. This past week been really touched in not flowing much is that normal with splitting?

Has anything else changed? He looks kind of unhappy. How long have you had it?

My torches go through ebbs and flows of tentacle extension with no obvious explanation.
