I picked this guy up yesterday at the LFS. Flesh on one polyp has receded above the crown. Currently dipping in iodine.

What are your thoughts? Will it survive?

Hard to say, but there's probably some flesh band remaining that you'll see when it opens up. I would start it in a lower flow and light area to ease it into your tank. Keep an eye out for BJD and make sure you're dipping/inspecting for pests. If you've already done so, I'd put it in the tank and leave it alone to recover.

Thanks for the reply. That picture is from the dip. I’ve done as you recommended and I’ll keep an eye on it. When it is opened up you can only barely tell that it’s receded beyond the crown. But where it has, it does not open completely.
