Torch Not Extending

So I went out and bought a second thermometer and put it into the tank to find out my water was 74 degrees. I turned the heater up more to get the water to 76 degrees and the torches are doing great now.

I have no less than 8 random thermometers lying around the house. I don't know why it seems so difficult to get temperature correct but I have found that my Helio PTC therm (the important one at least), Hanna therm, and a cheapo laser surface thermometer are my most accurate. All of the cheapo aquarium thermometers from big box stores were low by at least 4 degrees. Kinda nuts.

I was originally going off the one that is goes to the controller for my heater. Before I corrected it it was saying 78 when it was really 74. So I agree with you. Haha
