Need help with this torch! It starts to look retracted from Jan 4th night in my main tank, everything else look fine except for this torch. I waited for some time, it is not getting better. So I transferred it into my quarantine tank by Jan 6th in case big tank has any water quality issue, it goes back to the health state in Jan 7th. However, this morning (Jan. 8th) I see it retracted again (still in quarantine tank as in the picture)

What can go wrong? And wonder if I need to do any reviva dip or iodine dip? Thanks in advance 🙏

Parameters as mentioned and a closer picture? I can't tell much in the photo. Is there flesh around the outside top of the skeleton? How long have you had it?

Had it for 3 months, here is a closer picture. Water measurements are as above

Thanks for the added info! Looks like it still has some flesh around the top but may have receded a little recently? Only thing I see on parameters is very very low nutrients. So if I had to guess I would say it's not getting enough nutrition. Good range for LPS 15 - 30ppm NO3 and .05 -.1ppm PO4. I would raise those up as you are near 0 or 0. Can also try target feeding some lps pellets or chopped frozen mysis a few times a week. Turn flow down a bit. My torches were always responsive to a little target feeding during the day.

Thank you so much for the detailed response! I’ll add some more nutrients to the water. And how often do you usually feed the torches?

Ive noticed torches can be finicky, the swapping between tanks is probably not helping, they really like stability. I would check around the bottom of the flesh band and see if theres anything bugging it. And also hows your flow?

I feed at least 3 times a week. Currently have a fishless system so corals need to be fed. I also dose phosphate, nitrate, and ammonia.

There was a sexy shrimp that kept staying on this torch, which may partially contribute to the retraction (?). I don't see other things around the bottom of the flesh band. I moved the shrimp to another tank.

And here's a video of how flow looked like previously when the torch was happy:
