Torch placment

bought a torch wondering on placement... I have him high in the tank with plenty of room, he is in pretty high flow. Guy I bought him from says they love the flow. Where is yours?

I have three torches; all at the bottom of the tank. They get good flow but wouldn't be able to take the high flow that I have at the top of my tank.

Check out YouTube videos on torches and you'll get a good idea of what it's movement should be like to find the right spot

My torch is on the bottom ( Biocube 29) he gets lots of flow but would not say high flow. Very happy where he is

Sandbed and lower in my tank. Decent flow, but I would call it mid-high flow. Too much and they'll hide.

Sandbed mate, med-low light same with flow. Mine seems to like best with just enough flow to move his tenticles around.

Hmm mines up high at the top getting good flow, so far so good. I'll keep an eye on it. Might have to move him lower. Thanks

Sand bed for sure! Medium flow is where they thrive. If you have too much flow they will not extend fully
