Hello guys I was just wondering if I could get some thoughts n a torch coral I have in biocube 32.. I have three in my tank and one of the three had never extended near as much as the other two. Everything seem to be happy except this one coral but he may be fine and that’s why I’m asking.

1st is all three together
2nd is the one I’m asking about

Since I put it into the tank it has developed a second mouth so I believe I had “split” but it never really extends out. All thoughts are welcome and any advice as well. I just did a water change today so I will post up current parameters tomorrow.

Thanks reefing fam

Indo torches have longer thinner tentacles where as aussie torches are shorter and thicker. You may have an aussie next to an indo making the difference more noticeable.

Can you take a short video showing flow? What par are they in?
I’m not sure what the park is honestly. It’s just the stock hood with two additional blue led strips added to it. I started with one torch low and moved it up I til it was happy and now all three reside in the same area.

Thanks for the input, that is very possible and I didn’t know that. The tentacles were shorter when I get it but not as short as they are now though.

They need 150 to 250 par and low moderate flow. Mine are placed mid tank. Assuming all your other parameters are where they should be.

They all seem to be happy, two of them are big and fully extended all day everyday. And the little one is out and open daily also, it’s just shorter
