Recently my torch coral started acting weird and not fully opening and as shown in the picture opened maybe 1/8 of the way. I noticed a circular marking on the torch and was wondering if this could be playing a role. And if so what is this marking?

Looks like a worm shell that may or may not be in there still. Tank Also looks pretty new. Coral don't do well in brand new tanks. Torches even more so. If still testing ammonia and nitrate, you're probably not going to have the best environment yet. Nitrate around 5, phosphate .03, alk stable and move them off the sand bed.

I think it’s a vermatid snail
This. Couldn't think of name in my sleepiness. When moving torch off the sand remove or cover with some super glue.
