These torches seem to be more trouble than they are worth. I have had 4 torches that seem to be doing just fine, growing etc then out of the blue experience polyp bailout. The last one just succumbed to bjd after being fine for 6 months. I have 1 indo gold torch yet, looks healthy but who knows. My other 2 frogspawn and 2 hammers are all healthy and thriving. I really love the torches but am apprehensive to keep throwing hard earnef cash at them.

This is typical for wild torches. Great prices but dead in 6 months. Where did you get them from?

My parameters are pretty much always in line. I do a water change every week. All a sudden they get ticked and perish. Doesn't seem they ever recover

Swings in any of your nutrients, temperature, alkalinity, pH, etc. can have negative effects weeks after occurring.

I can't speak to how your LFS or AquaSD source their corals. I know AquaSD has a strong online presence and lots of new pieces added constantly. Try something grown locally, in an aquarium, from a hobbiest. I think you'll have better luck.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
