Wondering what could be the reasoning…

My torches expand huge during the first 4-5 hours of the day then around mid light cycle start to shrink a little, maybe 30-40% in size. Thought was originally lighting, but they are receiving 150-200 par max and was acclimated over the course of 2 months (xr15 g6 pro) overall intensity maxs at 65-70%, light cycle is 11 hours with 1.5 hour ramps on both sides.

Any thoughts? Is this normal for torches and I just never knew this?

Mine does the same, its super open and long for about 6-7 hours then they get smaller. As far as being normal Ive got no clue, these two are my first torches

Mine has been doing the same thing, also originally thought it was light but haven’t seen a change despite continuing to drop my par.

Lights ramp up and ramp down, when the lights start ramping down the corals start to close for the nighttime and the end of their photoperoid. It's normal, nothing to be worried about.
