Just got some new torches today. I haven’t kept torches before as I am a new reefer within last month or so. I tested parameters today as I dose 2 part and am trying to find right balance to dose then spontaneously got more coral. Some a little high but working through it. Ph has been consistently 8 trying to find way to get it to 8.3. Calcium was 470. Alkalinity 9.6, magnesium 1410 I know it’s high. And nitrate less than 5 with only a few fish so far. My question is about flow as I’m trying to find the right amount of flow for them. I have a gyre opposite side of them but trying to get them enough flow without blasting my hammers underneath the power head. I’m not concerned about just one power head as I’m not doing sps yet. I’m not sure if this is enough flow I think it looks good but need an expert opinion. The torch in the back I can tell isn’t getting enough so I think I will move it lower below the frogspawn which has been happy. Plz tell me what you think and if it’s just right too much or too little. Thanks!

I would like to add here. I wouldn't chase numbers, ph of 8 isn't bad and the best thing you can ask for is stability. Stability is key just remember that 😉 also you mag is good and I don't consider that high so find a place and keep it steady in that range.

As for the rest of everything looks good other than like some have mentioned you could use a little more flow on the torch. Good job so far 💪

Here’s a stitched together vid of my two main torch groups. Each part is 10 seconds to show flow in real time.

My smaller torches in the beginning I keep in lower flow. The bigger guys get higher flow.
