I am in the beginning stages of setting up a standard 120. The tank will have a variety of uses. First it will house the fish and some of the corals from my 180, when I break the 180 down to eradicate a BCP outbreak. After that I will use it as a lab or frag tank.

I am in the process of building a stand for the tank now.

So far the biggest challenge has been the basement floor in this room. It drops 1" from the wall to the front of the stand. A cart will literally roll across the floor on it's own.

Getting a little closer to getting the stand done. I have it painted inside and out; it is also level.

Got the door done.

I still need to install some cable run ways and add some lights inside the stand.

Been a while since the last update, for which I apologize.

Added live rock and cycled the tank.

I then added a few frags which will be donated to my club's coral donor program. (Every club should have one!)

I also replaced the skimmer with this (Which kicks pirate booty):

I was looking at that same skimmer for my 120. LMK how you like.
I've used Eshopps, and Reef Octopus in the past, but can honestly say that this skimmer has been the easiest to dial in from the get-go, and started earning it's keep from the moment I put it in the sump. Zero break in period after rinsing it in warm water per the manufacturers instructions.
